Quilling is the art of rolling, coiling and shaping small strips of paper to create a cohesive three-dimensional design and has been practiced for centuries. Historians have been able to date the art form back to Ancient Egyptian times where crafters would use a bird's feather (quill) as the tool to coil the paper upon.
Throughout the Western world, quilling has seen different periods of resurgence over the years. We are pleased to get to offer this beautiful card featuring a flock of sweet songbirds from a Fair Trade coop in Vietnam. Their moto is, "Don't just send a card, send art!" which is perfect for their products.
The card measurers 6" x 6" and has a coordinating envelope.
We also have frames that "Quilling Card" suggested for use with their cards. These frames are, unfortunately, not fairly traded. Apparently there is not an ethical option as of yet. The shadow box frames are brushed silver and can be purchased for $17. Please be in touch if you are interested in a frame along with your beautiful card.
